What is most remarkable about the ancient temple of Kanteshwar is its stunning architecture which fascinates you as soon as you lay your eyes upon it. The temple was built around 500 years ago by Satakarni II, a famous Satavahana king. It speaks highly of the architectural magnificence of that era. A huge crowd of people throng the temple premise every year during the festival of Rathasapthami.






How can the temple be reached?

The nearest city from the temple is Nizamabad, located at 3 kilometres. Nizamabad has a railway station which makes the temple easily accessible to the tourists. Visit the temple during December to February as the weather is fine then.
