Visit the famous Kolanupaka Jain Shrine in Nalgonda

Kolanupaka is one of the most popular villages in Alair Mandal located in the Nalgonda District in the newly created Telangana state. This village is the home to a prominent Jain Temple, which is frequented by the Jains. Idols of Lord Rishabha, Lord Neminath, and Lord Mahaveer are kept in the temple. The idol  of Lord Rishabha which has been carved of a green stone called the “Manikyaswami” is there in the temple. Jainism has been prevalent in Andhra Pradesh for a long time and Kolanupaka is a prominent site for the Jain followers.






How to get to Kolanupaka?
The beautiful village of Kolanupaka is located at a distance of 82 kilometres to the North from the district Nalgonda and about 77 kilometres from the capital of Telangana, Hyderabad. The nearest Railway station is Mancherla which is about 25 kilometres from Nalgonda district. The best time to visit the place is the winters during December to February.
