Located in Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh, Bhairavakona is a pilgrim centre that attracts tourists from all around the country. The place is famous for its rock cut cave temples which were probably built in the 7th Century AD by Mahendra Varma. There are 8 shrines of Lord Shiva in these cave temples which represent the 8 famous Shiva Lingas across the whole country. Recently established 30 feet statue of Lord Hanuman is another attraction of this area which experiences a host of tourists from the whole country.
