Borra caves are located in Ananthagiri hills in Vizag district. It is a beautiful cave with stalactite and stalagmite formations which cannot be missed once you are in Visakhapatnam. These caves are at an elevation of 1400 meters above the sea level and make for an impressive attraction for the tourists. The cave has archaeological, historic as well as religious importance. You can find a Shiva Linga and the idol of Kamdhenu inside the cave which make it a religious place. Reaching Borra caves
You can either reach the place by road or rail. The distance of Vizag from the Borra caves is around 90 kilometres which takes 3 hours to complete due to the hill road. The nearest train station is the BorraGuhalu Railway station which can be reached by Vishakhapatnam crossing Eastern Ghats and passing through 30 tunnels on the way.
