Tea is an important starter of the day in every one’s life all over the world. Standing in between the tea plantations is a wonderful experience. Tata Tea Museum located at Munnar, is a famous and a major place for tea plantations and its worthy place to visit. This museum is located at Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in the city which is run by the Tata Tea Company. This tea museum showcases its history and growth through photographs, machineries and the earlier used tea roller, Rotorvane of 1905 that was used for CTC type tea processing. The other items that you can see in the museum are the Pelton wheel which is used in power generation plant, typewriters, classic bungalow furniture, wooden bathtub, magneto phone and old telephone system.




A perfect place to enjoy the vacations is Munnar. Visiting the museum can give you all the knowledge about the various stages of how is tea is processed and its production.
The demonstration process unit is awesome.

A demonstration room is also there for tasting different varieties of tea that attracts everyone. Also a sundial on a granite block, made in 1913 by the Art Industrial School at Nazareth, Tamil Nadu, is also another attraction at the Tea Museum.

Cochin International airport is the nearest one to reach by air. The nearest railway station to the Museum is Kodaikanal road railway station Junction which is 49 KM away. You may hire a cab or local transport is also available for journey through roadways.
