A stunning temple in kerala, that is very ancient and internationally known temple for the devotees of serpent gods. This temple is located at a distance of 3 kms from the bus station at Harippad. This town is rich with its green paddy fields, coconut palms and its serene atmosphere.




This temple is a very peaceful and a big temple with nearly 30000 image of snakes along the paths and trees. This is an amazing temple with great healing power who ever believes it. This is a serpent shrine dedicated to the Serpent God – Nagaraja. The process of puja here is headed by a priestess, who is a Brahmin woman. The belief is that the god Nagaraja here is endowed with the form of Lord Vishnu and the spirit of Lord Shiva.

As per the history, it is said that the first priestess of Mannarasala gave birth to a five-headed snake, who reside in the ancestral house to safeguard the family. Those who worship Mannarasala with full devotion, they are believed to be blessed with children and will be cured of all diseases and live with peace and wealth. Once you visit the temple, and make darshan, then there will be a glow in your eyes and an wordless feeling in your heart. You will be able to visit this temple only on certain days in the year.
