Marine drive, a popular hangout in the city of Ernakulam. This is the modern side of Kochi with a scenic long walkway and a fun-ful ride of about 3 kms that offers a spectacular view of the Kochi harbor and the backwaters.
It is a must visit tourist place in Kerala. The serene backwaters and the anchored ships at the harbor are the major attractions of this place. Taking a walk during the evening times with the sun setting in the peaceful sea is really ah wonderful. The cool breeze from the waters during the night times gives a pleasant relaxation to not only the tourists, but to everyone.
The two awesome constructed bridges here are the Rainbow Bridge and the other is Chinese Fishing Net Bridge. Hats off to this architectural plan. Along with this there is a Children’s park and Subhash Chandra Bose park near to marine drive and also many shopping malls, snack items, restaurants, super markets, cafeteria and cinema halls.
From marine drive you can also have boat ride that will take you to the other tourist spots that are the Cochin shipyard, oil tanker berth, the Bolgatty Palace and Jew street.

Nearest station is the Ernakulam junction that is 3 kms to reach here by rail. Cochin International airport is the nearest one that is 29 kms to reach by air. The city is well connected through roads also to reach by local transport.
