Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the most famous Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in Varanasi, India, located on the western bank of the sacred river Ganga and is one of the jyothirlingas among the 12 jyothirlingas. Lord Shiva is the main god of Hinduism who controls our destiny.
This is the very old temple built in the year 1780. Here, Shivrathri is celebrated very grandly. The tourists visit this temple in a large number every year from all over the country. A tribe called Kasha used to live here and on his name, this placed is well known as Kashi, which is the place for attaining moksha. The tower of this temple is at a height of 100 ft.

How to reach
The temple is 5kms from the Varanasi railway station and is connected to all parts of the country where it can be reached by air through direct flights Varanasi has the main railway station where the trains run from all the major locations. Also you can reach Varanasi by road which is situated on NH2.
