Medak Church or the Cathedral is one of the most prominent cathedrals of South India and also the largest church of Telangana district. It has been the cathedral church of the Diocese of Medak since the year 1947. As a matter of fact, diocese in Asia is a second largest diocese after Vatican in Rome. The church is located at Medak which is in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh.
How to reach Medak Church
Medak district is a part of Telangana and located 140 kilometres off Hyderabad. The district can be reached via rail and road. Medak lies on Hyderabad- Mumbai Highway and you can take a taxi from the Hyderabad to reach here via road. There is no railway station in Medak and the nearest rail head is Manoharabad and very few trains pass through this station, one among which is Nanded Hyderabad Deccan Passur. You can also avail the bus service from APSRTC which are available from Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Warangal and Secunderabad.
