Sri Venkateswara wild sanctuary is a national park as well as a biosphere reserve. It spans over a sprawling 353 square Kms. The National park is known for waterfalls which are in plenty. Some of the most popular among them are Talakona, Gunjana etc. In the year 2010, the government declared Seshachalam Hills as a biosphere reserve. As this national park fell under the sphere, it also became part of the reserve. The park is very vast and is spread across Eastern Ghats, which lies in Kadapa district to Tirumala hills in Chittoor district. The entire valley is covered with dense forests which is a paradise for the nature lovers.
