Falaknuma Palace is one of the finest palaces in Hyderabad and is home to exquisite artefacts, paintings and other fabulous things. The palace was built by NawabVikar-Ul-Umra and belonged to the Pagiah Hyderabad State. It was later owned by the Nizams of Hyderabad. The state reception room of the Palace is its one of the highlights as it is decorated with frescoes and reliefs. There are all together 60 lavish rooms and 22 halls. Reaching Falaknuma Palace is quite easy
Located in the heart of the city of Hyderabad, the nearest rail head to the palace is Falaknuma railway station. Its distance from Secunderabad railway station is 18.2 kms and that from the Hyderabad Airport is 25 kms. Bus service is also available from neighbouring cities.

As the palace is a hotel now, it is open for the public all the time. As it is an indoor attraction, all months of the year are ideal to visit the palace. However, the overall weather is the most pleasant during winters and is normally considered the best time to visit attractions in Hyderabad.
