The Osman Sagar lake is among the most sought after destinations for holiday making. The Osman Sagar Lake is fondly called ‘Gandipet’ and is an extremely popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. It is among the favorite weekend getaway for the couples as well as the families.

The Osman Sagar lake is very conveniently located 20 kilometers from the state capital, Hyderabad and can be easily reached by road. The nearest railway station to the lake is the Hyderabad Deccan station located at a distance of 17 kilometers from the lake. The nearest airport is Rajeev Gandhi International Airport, which is at a distance of 20 kilometers.

In the monsoons, the reservoir and the lake is filled with water and the greenery is also on its peak. Monsoon is therefore the best time to visit the Osman Sagar lake.
