Salar Jung museum is one of the major attractions in Hyderabad which is frequented by many tourists who come from all over India as well as the world. This museum has on display one of the largest collections of antiques by one man- Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III. Some of the antique objects that are showcased in the museum include Persian carpets, porcelain utensils from China, Mughal miniatures, Japanese lacquer ware and various other famous statues such as the Veiled Rebecca and Marguerite and Mephistopheles. An extensive collection of jade, weapons like daggers of Queen Noor Jahan, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb’s sword can be found here in the Museum.
