It is called as Tirumala and it is in Tirupathi city. So, it is known as Tirumala Tirupathi. Lord Venkateswara is the god worshipping here. It is located in the eastern ghats of Andhra Pradesh. Tirupathi is one of the most important piligrim centres in the World and the busiest piligrim centre of the World. Tirupathi is the richest temple in the World in terms of its acquired donations and wealth received from devotees. The architecture of the temples in Tirupathi are Dravidian cultures and follows all the pujas according to the Aagamasastram. Tirupathi is also called as Edu Kondalu means 7 hills, the temple is situated in the 7th hill.

The important places to visit in Tirumala besides Lord Venkateswara temple are Chandragiri Fort, Sri Venkateswara Zoo, Kapila Theertham and other attractions. Some of the famous temples include Alivelu Managamma(Mangapuram), Padmavathi Ammavari temple and Govindaraja swamy temple.

Tirupathi Airport is situated at 15km from the city, Railway and Roadway are connected very good to reach Tirupathi. It is 349 km from Vijayawada, 130 km from Chennai, 550 km from Hyderabad.
