The Agra Fort known as the Badalgarh, Lal Qila and Qila-i-Akbari, is a symbol of our power and strength which stands today as India’s glory. It is the second highlight of Agra city and also the capital of the Mughals. The Agra Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. From Taj Mahal, the Fort is about 2.5 km away.

Sikandar Lodi (1488–1517) was the first Sultan of Delhi who had been shifted to Agra and lived in the fort. He ruled the country being here from this fort and hence, Agra has gained the importance as the second capital. Akbar came to Agra in 1558 and renovated the fort with red sandstone. It took 8 years for four thousand builders to work on it and completed it in 1573.
When you have a visit to Agra Fort, you will come to see the excellent carvings and the pure marbles that are used in building the fort. The wonderful view of the Yamuna River and Taj Mahal from the balconies of the pavilions will leave us absolutely mesmerized.
