The Allahabad Museum is one of the National level museums of India, located in the Chandrashekhar Azad Park called Company bagh. Situated in the beautiful location with the lawn in green garden gives it a beautiful look and special attraction. This was established in the year 1931.




Sixteen galleries are made in the museum. Have a look at the world famous sculptures from bharhut and bhumra, ancient stone sculptures, also the sculptures from Mathura, Terrakota art, paintings of Nicholas Roerich and the other parts of Bengal school that attracts the visitors.

Even there sculptures and pistol of Chandra Sehkar Azad in the main hall. It also contains Nehru family items. The objects from Harrappan culture, standing goddess Lakshmi devi on a lotus and other hundreds of collections from Terrakota, objects from medieval period stand as the major attractions in the museum. The museum contains textile gallery and collections like beads, precious stones and things made from important metal varieties.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday and the timings are from 10am to 5pm.

How to reach

The distance is about 3 kms away from Allahabad railway station and from Prayag and Rambagh Railway Stations and nearly 12 kms from Bamrauli Airport and well connected through the roads from all the major cities.
